About Michael

Hi. I’m Michael. As you might have guessed, I work as a network engineer. When I was growing up I knew I wanted to do something with computers (or become an architect). Early on during university I found that networking was the field I was most interested in, so I focussed on that.

After a few years in university I got my masters degree in Network Engineering (which actually exists in the Netherlands: OS3. This was in 2009. Ever since I’ve been working as a network engineer in various roles.

My most recent job is to be a technical consultant for a big VAR in the Netherlands Axians. Here I help our customers with their networks. From problem solving to the complete redesign of networks.

My (current) primary focus (as you might be able to tell from my website) is Cisco ACI. I’ve been working with ACI in production networks since ACI 1.1 and have seen the product evolve in to what it currently is. Aside from ACI I do regular campus networking and Cisco DNA / SD-A networks.

In 2019 I fulfilled a long time dream of achieving my CCIE. I’m currently the proud holder of CCIE #62198

I love teaching, so whenever I get the chance I try to teach something to my co-workers, customers or maybe you in the form of one of my blog posts. I hope you like this website and if you have any questions I’d be more than willing to help you.
